Google announces the 2016 Android Experiments I/O Challenge

Did you already got a ticket for the Google I/O this year? If not take the chance to get personally invited by Google.

Last summer Google announced Android Experiments, a site where app developers can share their indie app projects. They only have some requirements:

  • Creative uses of Android's new or distinctive features
  • Projects that explore how we interact with our devices, in small and big ways
  • Unique visual aesthetics
  • Open source projects that inspire other developers
  • …or other surprising projects

If you have a great idea in your mind, start your project now and submit it until the 13rd of April to androidexperiments.com/challenge (the page seems to be offline at the moment). You can also earn some prizes if you are the winner. The top three winners of the contest will receive a trip to this year's Google I/O, and the five runner-ups will get the new Nexus 6P.
