Thoughts about Instagram Stories after some weeks: Great, but I actually miss one thing

Some weeks ago Instagram launched a new feature called “Stories”. Many people said, that Instagram or it's parent company Facebook just tried to copy Snapchat after they failed to buy it. I instantly used the new feature and I was amazed by it, I would even say, it's better than Snapchat. It's speedy, uses less resources and has also more beautiful filters. I don't really miss Snapchat's face filters or it's location based filters.

This is the one side: posting own content. But let's also look at the other way of how to use the feature: Consuming content, from people you follow. There's actually one thing I really miss. What I miss is an option to hide stories from specific people, so that you won't see their Stories in the Stories main bar above your feed. The reason: I follow the channels @instagram and @instagramde (official channels by Instagram), where they feature a lot of great artist from the app. But their Stories are horrible! I don't want to see random selfies from people, which I don't know and I'm not interested in.

So Instagram developers, please listen to me: Please add a feature, to hide Stories of specific people. This shouldn't be that hard, because you also added a feature to block specific people from seeing own Stories.

What do you think about this? How do you experience Instagram Stories?
